It's Groundhog's Day!
Ah yes, February second. The aforementioned groundhog's day. Well Internet people, it looks like that over sized rat saw his shadow. I guess that means six more weeks of winter. Bah! I am not a fan of that.
It seems like working down south all last fall has done a number on my blood making me miss the warmer weather. I think I'm ruined. I was always saying how much I loved winter. Shocker there, us fat guys aren't really built for the warm weather.
But in other news... I finished season two of Gotham today... Yay for me! Not really. Now I have to wait for season three to come out on Blu ray. That's the absolute worst when you binge on a show and get all caught up. I need to know what happens after SPOILER ALERT ...Fish escapes with all Dr. Strange's monsters from Arkham!
Hmm... what else is going on? Oh yeah. In other news I started drawing again trying to get back in to the swing of that. I'm doing a hero who is a forensic scientist who has psychic powers. Talks to his dead victims and all that jazz... I'd totally share the drawing with you, but it sucks. Really... my first rough sketch of his head literally has a 1960's Hulk hair do. Not gonna lie, kind of like an Amish hair do. Ok fine. You guys talked me in to it. Here's the picture. Children... avert your eyes! It's a monster! Ok... in my defense I'm still trying to draw better, it's something I've always wanted to do.
In comic news, I've decided today that I want to get a complete run of Deadpool comics because... well Deadpool. That's all. I'm not going in to detail, I'm just going to start collecting Deadpool comics. That's it.
Well internet readers... all like five of you, my girlfriend and I are going to her grandmother's for dinner tonight, so it looks like I'm going to have to cut this short. I guess I'm going to have to look presentable or something. Also... if you want to follow my shenanigans and adventures on Twitter look me up. @DarthDiltzy
Don't forget to tip your bartenders.

Two years later...
So, what's good Internets? Today I'm finally catching up on a show I should've been watching for years. Gotham. I can't believe I haven't seen it until now. I've been binge watching like a mad man, and I'm on season two.
I just hit the Mr. Freeze episode. Anyone out there that hasn't watched this show yet... holy shit what are you doing with your life? Anyone that's a fan of the Bat needs to watch this show.
Let's see... what else is going on? Oh yeah. I'm Dibble dabbling in to legacy/ vintage magic. NOTE to new readers no I'm not talking about old timey pulling a rabbit out of my hat. I'm talking magic the gathering.
I'm building legacy/ vintage Pox. Basically it's a mono black control build for those not familiar with it. It empties your hand and destroys your lands locking you out of the game. The win condition for my deck plays Leyline of the Void a Helm of Obedience causing my opponent to discard their entire deck.
Well... that's all the updates I have on my life for today. Next weekend I'll be heading down to Maryland for work, so I'm looking forward to checking out some new comic/gaming stores.
Until next time world,
Keep calm, stay strong, and may the force be with you.

Am I getting in over my head on this one?
Ok internets... today I had an idea, and I'm going to use this blog to, hopefully get this idea on the road.
They say that if you have a career you love, you'll never work a day in your life. I'm going to attempt this. It's not going to be easy, and it's not going to happen any time soon because lots of saving will be involved.
I want to open my own gaming/comic store... but with a twist. I think a coffee shop/bakery combined with a comic/gaming shop would be an amazing idea.
Imagine just a place like this to hang out with nerds. It's a nerd haven if you will... magic, D&D, Warhammer, Batman, and coffee and cupcakes all under one roof.
Starting off I would definitely have to use my personal stock of magic cards, action figures, and other nerdy bits to actually begin something, but I think it could really take off.
For now world, I leave you with just this dream that I hope one day I can turn in to a reality. I'm considering it a three year plan from conception to actually opening the doors. Hopefully by the year 2020 this will be a reality.
I'd really enjoy hearing advice, and what others think of this. Leave it in the comments.

Truuuump Day!
Hey guys! Guess what today is! Truuuump Day! No seriously. If I see that stupid camel picture on my Facebook one more time, I'm going to freak out.
Yes! Good lord that's the picture right there! That's the one I'm talking about! I seriously thought that meme was dead, but it looks like it took a special occasion for the camel to rear its ugly head.
But seriously, that's not what I'm typing about today. No, I may bring some randomness to this blog, but like all smart people certain things you do not talk about like religion, politics, and the unbanning of Jace, The Mind Sculptor in modern. I'm a crazy nerd, and today is the release of Magic's new set, Aether Revolt. That's what we're going to talk about!
*Insert the sounds of a messed up cassette here and go to a cut-scene*
That's originally what I was planning on doing today, actually starting this blog off with a fat pack or whatever WOTC is calling them now? I don't know, they'll always be fat packs to me, but sadly I've barely been able to breathe and if you heard me cough, you would think there's an elephant or some other large animal living in my house. So, sadly I have not left my house today to head on down to my friendly LGS (Hey there Player's Guild!) To pick up a... thing that looks like a fat pack but isn't... Who am I kidding it's a new set... I was going to get a box!
But... I didn't so... instead let's talk about my favorite deck and give a fresh little take on a modern staple... *Robot Voice* TRON!
Creature (16)
- 3x Etched Champion
- 2x Phyrexian Revoker
- 1x Platinum Angel
- 1x Platinum Emperion
- 3x Scuttling Doom Engine
- 2x Spellskite
- 1x Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger
- 3x Wurmcoil Engine
Sorcery (2)
Land (25)
Instant (7)
Artifact (9)
Planeswalker (2)
Ok... so it's got the standard Urza Tron lands... some big things that get their Hulk-Smash on, but what's ridiculously different about my build is... (Here's some background info on me people... I'm a dick and like other Dickson in the mtg universe I play control... because I don't like to allow you to do things and stuff) Anyway, yes as I was saying... There's a little control she'll to this I like to set up while I'm waiting to get the tron up and running. It's a little defense really because anyone who has played Tron has been in that situation of waiting for the third Tron land to come, or not finding the expedition map. This is my security blanket.
Speaking of security blanket there's one more thing I really enjoy running. Banefire... yes the rarely used cousin to the OG Fireball.
Yes... the finisher... the big kaboom! The I start tapping everything and go "Fifteen damage to the face motha' effer!" Yes, I love this card I think R/G Tron needs to run this card. This card is fire, lit, bae... whatever crazy term the kids are using today. This is the cat's meow... the bee's knees! This is here to outright win. That's all.
Ya know, there's some other stuff I could talk about. Etched Champion for the lols. Spellskite to eat pumps and bolts all day. Scuttling Doom Engine to just die and deal damage... good old under dog Phyrexian Revoker to just say no to walkers. Newlamog, Wurmcoil... that stuff is standard. I wanted to talk about the weird stuff about my Tron build... because that's what I do. I brew.
Anyway Kids, I'm Chris Diltz hacking up a lung, in need of some Aether Revolt and some chicken soup signing off. Tune in next time when I finally get a chance to crack open some Aether Revolt... and not cough all over my screen.
